Raikwon Green



RaiKwon Green is a native of Carencro, Louisiana. RaiKwon’s first introduction to country music began at infancy, being inspired by artists such as George Strait, Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn, Keith Whitley, Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Charley Pride, Clint Black, and so many more. RaiKwon’s relationship with music began in church as a member of the local church choir in Carencro. RaiKwon participated in band and choir in school, all awhile dreaming of rodeoing and playing music country music like his idle and inspiration George Strait. While he thought this dreams was unattainable, he thought he’d play it safe and further his education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to study Music Education, and get himself a more realistic career, although deep down he knew he wanted to play country music.

It wasn’t until RaiKwon’s junior years of college where he made the conscious decision to pursue his dream of singing country music as a career, switching majors from Music Education to Music Media, RaiKwon began immersing his self more into the genre, taught himself how to play the guitar and began playing small shows in the area and began posting videos on social media platforms. Which lead him to being discover by RBM on TikTok.
RaiKwon’s musical style consist of a edgy honkytonk sound, but he’s never afraid to throw a little Texas swing your way, or even apply some blues, or even give you a taste of the golden age of country music.
